Elastic Boot Laces: Lace Once, Step In

Ten eyelets. Zero lacing. Lace your boots once, step in every morning.

Why elastic boot laces hold up

Elastic boot laces turn a ten-eyelet lace-up into a boot you step into. Lace the boot once, wrap the speed hooks like you always do, tie once at the top, and from then on the elastic opens wide enough to slide your foot in and pulls back snug around the ankle. Stretchlace round laces come up to 72 inches for tall work boots, hiking boots and Docs, with a round profile made for boot eyelets and hooks. Flat laces cover low boots and work shoes with flat eyelets. Firm stretch, not slack: the boot still supports your ankle the way a tied boot does.

Sizing boots

Eight-eyelet boots usually take 55 to 63 inches, ten-eyelet boots 63 to 72. Speed hooks count as eyelets. Remove one lace and measure it flat to be sure. See Sizing Help.

Questions we get

Do elastic laces work with speed hooks?

Yes. Wrap the hooks the way you do with normal laces and tie once at the top. The round lace was made for boot eyelets and hooks.

Will my boot still support my ankle?

Yes. The stretch is firm, not slack. Set the tension when you tie the bow and the boot holds the ankle the way a tied boot does. Adjust strap by strap per the install and fit FAQ.

What length for 8 or 10 eyelet boots?

Eight eyelet boots usually take 55 to 63 inches, ten eyelet boots 63 to 72. Hooks count as eyelets. Measure one of your current laces flat and match it, or use the size guide and length chart.

Flat or round for boots?

Round for boots with small eyelets and hooks, including Docs and hiking boots. Flat for work shoes and low boots with flat eyelets. Brand-specific picks are on the shoe brand pages.
