Shoelace Length by Eyelet Count
The most accurate way to size is to remove one original lace, measure it flat, and match the length. If you can't measure, count the eyelet pairs on one shoe and use this chart. Count only the pairs your laces actually pass through.
| Shoe type | Eyelet pairs | Stretchlace length |
|---|---|---|
| Boat shoes & casual low-tops | 2–4 | 30″–35″ |
| Low-top sneakers | 5 | 45″ |
| 6 | 47″ | |
| 7–8 | 55″ | |
| High-tops | 5–6 | 55″ |
| 7–8 | 63″ | |
| Boots & tall high-tops | 9+ | 72″ |
- Wear a men's size 11 or larger, or like a longer bow? Choose the next length up.
- Petite feet, or prefer a shorter bow? You can choose the next length down.
- Never go below the length of your shoe's original laces.
Between two sizes?
Size down by default, then size up if any of these apply:
- Bow: you want a longer bow, or the knot feels short. (Skims the ground when you walk? Size down.)
- Foot shape: you have a wider foot or a high instep.
- Planning to leave a double knot in anyway? Size up.
